“Big Boss is very conniving” - Shamita Shetty

Tellybuzz on a tete-e-tete with Shamita Shetty who quit Colors' Big Boss…
Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty explains the reason why she decided to quit Colors'and Endemol's Big Boss mid-way. She also expresses her displeasure at the way Rohit Verma is playing the game.

Over to Shamita…

Why did you quit?
For me my sister's wedding is the most important thing .

Are you hurt that you were not privy to the decision of the date of Shilpa's wedding?
To be honest at first we thought Shilpa's wedding would be in Jan, so I agreed to enter Big Boss thinking that the show would be over by then. But then the wedding was preponed. Anyways Shilpa always wanted to get married this year and it was only Sunny Deol's film which was causing the delay.
Agreed it was quite sad that I came to know through an outsider (Parvesh) that Shilpa was getting married on 25th November. I was quite upset and kept asking Big Boss to call me to the confession room. Finally after 2 days, I was allowed in and saw a box of laddoo's and a letter from Shilpa. She was sorry for having to announce the wedding in my absence. I wanted to quit there and then, but then as nobody would be home for a week ,I decided to wait till the 13th November.

You did not get a chance to say bye to the others?
Yes, but that's the rule of the game. However, it was nice to see Bakhityaar say all those sweet things in the store room. I always knew that Aditi and Bakhtiyaar were my real friends and I was proved right. Even Tanaaz was very close to me as well.

How was your experience?
I had a very good time in the house. I picked up so much about my self. I also learnt to speak Hindi and make kadda Prasad.

But it was heard that you would not do any chores?
Who said so?! I would always help out in the house. I have done jharoo, pocha and vegetable cutting.

What is your take on the game being played?
I never came with any plan. I don't think it's right to hurt anybody just for the game. But sadly some people were doing just that. In this scenario, I am happy that I left at this moment ,for currently the atmosphere in the house is not very pleasant.

Your equation with Rohit?
I never hated Rohit but his back bitching behavior is quite bad. Let us hope that his friends make him realize that what he is doing in the house is wrong.

Will you come back with wild card?
Right now I have just one aim and that is to take part in Shilpa's wedding. A possible wild card entry is the last thing on my mind.

You were a very bad Jailor...
Yes, Big Boss reprimanded me for not taking my task seriously. I really felt bad when I had to imprison Aditi for talking in English. The jail sucks for not only is it very hot, but it's full of yucky insects as well.

Any golden mantra for winning?
No rules work here, for Big Boss is very smart and conniving. He assigns us such tasks that we will surely end up fighting.

Who would you want to remain till the very end?
I would hope that either Bakhtiyaar or Aditi wins.

You won't have much time to prepare for the wedding?
Shilpa is such a sweetheart that she has taken care of most things. And I had already spoken to the designer for the dress before coming in.

"Bakhtiyaar was hamstrung because of me" -Tanaaz Irani

Tanaaz Irani vents her spleen about her fellow Big Boss 3 inmates after her elimination from the Lonavala house last night!
Tanaaz Irani's marriage became open to the public thanks to her participation with husbandBakhtiyaar in Colors' Big Boss 3. However, Tanaaz talks of how this show has done nothing to bring cracks in her marriage and how it has earned her two new friends.

Over to Tanaaz…

How was the experience of Big Boss 3?
I have a 17 year old daughter and whatever I did inside was a message to her. I had to be good for she needed to be taught that come what may, you always have to go by the book. There is no excuse to slip up. And I am glad that I succeeded in that mission.
I might have said some rough things but they happened in the heat of the moment, never ever did I indulge in willful negative tactics. Over all, I really had to control myself; for the environment in there was such that you want to talk bad about people who don't help in the daily chores.
Going by the same token, I really wonder how the others would face up to their children, and wives, after all the manipulations and back bitching, they shamelessly indulged in.

Come clean on the constant allegations that you and Bakhtiyaar played as a team?
God, it's crystal clear that we never discussed eliminations, unlike the others who always worked in packs.

You and Bakhtiyaar had lots of fights?
Don't all couples fight?! I can say with pride no other couple would have survived this house without breaking up for the other inmates were playing down right dirty pool. My hubby is a simple guy and his main grouse was that why, I was not reacting like he was? I had an inkling of what was going on but did not want to complicate matters and further I never believe in hearsay. It was only later that things become clear that Rohit and others were indeed talking bad behind our backs.
I had told Bakhtiyaar that our marriage is too strong to be affected by 9 strangers who don't even know whether they are coming or going. I also can't understand the fuss over the little intimate moments between me and my husband.

Bakhtiyaar was giving lots of attention to Claudia?
Oh that part was just copy pasted and edited. I am no dumb wife, who will ignore such things. I know Bakhtiyaar and he actually was unhappy with them bringing in a firangi in the first place.

Are you surprised that you were voted out rather than Bakhtiyaar?
No frankly I wanted to get out, for he really wanted to play the game. And it's very important for a husband's pride to fight his own battles. He was earlier hamstrung because of me. Now that he is free I just hope that he gives them good, it will also make for good TRPs.

Bakhtiyaar's birthday falls tomorrow?
I request India to pray for Bhakityaar for he is living with such bad people.

Even you were playing games?
This house is such that you can't play games 24*7, your mask has to fall off, just as Rohit and Poonam's true characters came out. I was what I was.

Good you took names, talk a bit about Rohit?
Honestly I don't want to give too much attention to him, he needs a shrink to find out why is he behaving like this. He tried to ruin my reputation just for a game. That's not done. Even if he wins I don't care for he will not have a single true friend. I just hope he disappears.

Poonam ji?
It's quite sad that a lady who claims to do so many prayers can be so weak eared. Could she not have just come up to me and asked what the matter was.

Ismail Darbar said that he was unhappy with you ,for you left your young son behind?
Who is he to tell me how to lead my life?

Your take on Vindoo?
He is a quite dumb and goes on talking. His behavior with Sherlyn was just not acceptable. He should understand that his father has a big reputation in the industry which he should uphold.

You pulled Raju Shrivastav's shorts?
Did they show that? God! But come on when you come to a pool party, you should have brains enough to wear something underneath. We were so embarrassed, after it happened that we ran away. Having said, that, he took it quite sportingly.

Among all the lot who would you call your friends?
I have made two very good friends in this house, they are
Shamita and Aditi. It seems last year no contestants got close to anybody. Hence the fact that I have made not one but two friends shows that I am special.

What will happen next?
After targeting me, they will now move on to Bakhtiyaar, Shamita and Aditi. All the good people are being systematically eliminated.

Who will win?
I don't care. These people are in it, only for the money, which can be earned by other dignified ways as well. The acid test would be 6 months down the road when we will see who has more work!

Will you return via the Wild card?
Yes I want to get back and I will. This time I will go fully prepared and play the game, with gusto, I will really give it back. It's paramount that good triumphs for otherwise the message will go out that such kind of trash behavior is acceptable.

Tanaaz bursts out at Bakhtiar

After taking it easy on his behavior for all these days, Tanaaz loses her cool and fights with hubby Bakhtiar on colors Bigg Boss 3.

Looks like
Tanaaz is now a 'scorned woman' on Colors Bigg Boss - 3. She was patient all this time over Bakhtiar'smany complaints about her- lack of love, indifference etc. But now she hits back.

According to our source, "Tanaaz finally let go of her reservations about their being on national television and speaks out. Even though Bakhtiar behaved childishly, Tanaaz acted in a manner to save face. But now it seems she is truly frustrated as she hit back at Bakhtiar solidly. She couldn't keep a check on her emotions anymore."

Adds the source, "Apparently this has got the contestants talking that the next person to be eliminated should be either Tanaaz or Bakhtiar."

So will the plotting of the contestants end up evicting one of the Iranis? To know watch Bigg Boss at 9pm on Colors.

Shamita Shetty bids adieu to Bigg Boss?

Shamita Shetty bids adieu to Bigg Boss?

Time for an untimely exit

This is the time when Shamita Shetty’s family needs her the most, as big sister Shilpa will not get married without her.

Bigg Boss 3 participant Shamita gets an emotional letter from her home and comes to know about her sister’s Shilpa Shetty’s engagement and soon-to-happen wedding.

So the girl is expected to leave Bigg Boss, even though she is not the one who is nominated for the eviction. This week it’s the notorious couple Tanaaz Currim and Bakhtiyar Irani in the expulsion list.

However, the main decision lies with the channel. According to reports, Shamita will take voluntary exit and thus couple will be saved from going out of the show ensuring some more backbiting and bickering.

While for the rest of the drama, wait till the curtain rises as the channel is expected to take the decision today.

Will Shamita Shetty bE able to attend her sister ,Shilpa's Marriage

Shilpa Shetty is tying the knot with fiance Raj Kundra in the last week of November and there's a chance that her sister Shamita...

Shilpa Shetty is tying the knot with fiance Raj Kundra in the last week of November and there's a chance that her sister Shamita, who is in the 'Bigg Boss' house, may not be able to attend the ceremony.

'Shamita has not been told anything about Shilpa's engagement or the marriage in the last week of November. As far Shamita knows, the marriage was supposed to happen in December after the show was over,' a source close to the Colors channel producing the show told IANS.

The source said there seems to be no provision to get a contestant out of a game show for a wedding.

Shilpa, who hosted the second season of 'Bigg Boss', has approached the channel to evict her sister in time for the wedding and a meeting between the two parties is on the cards this weekend. But the channel bosses are at a loss as to how the rules can be bent to get Shamita out of the 'Bigg Boss' house.

'There's a provision for a housemate to be brought out in a case of an extreme emergency. It happened with Jade Goody last year. But does a sister's unscheduled wedding qualify as a family crisis? We're now wondering if the same rule as Jade can be applied to Shamita's case,' said the source.

The channel is consulting 'Big Brother' on which 'Bigg Boss' is modelled for the rules.

'After meeting Shilpa this weekend, we'll work out a strategy on Shamita's eviction,' said the source.

According to plans, if rules apply, Shamita's eviction will be done live.

'If an unexpected turn of events helps us boost our TRPs, we're certainly not shy of putting it on camera. We did with Jade Goody. We'll do it with Shamita.'

The pop philosopher of the show Amitabh Bachchan is expected to do the needful. He will be breaking the news of Shilpa's engagement and impending marriage to Shamita.

'The rest is up to Shamita. Once we're sure she can be evicted whether she decides to come out or stay in the House is entirely her decision,' said the source.

"I'll work with Kamal when i want to Retire" - Sherlyn Chopra

Sherlyn Chopra, the latest person to have been shown the door on Colors’ Big Boss, speaks up…

After seeing her in ultra glam roles, we got to see
Sherlyn Chopra in a 'cleanliness freak cum loner' avatar in Colors' Big Boss. Even though she's unhappy her journey ended so soon, Sherlyn is happy that she got to identify her foibles and get a chance to work on them through Big Boss.

Over to Sherlyn…

How does it feel, now that you've been ousted from the Big Boss house?

I feel very bad. In fact, I felt like crying when they asked me this question during the live interview and I felt like crying. But I controlled it; I didn't want to ruin my make-up.

According to you what went wrong?
I think the main reason was I didn't gel with people. I liked loneliness a lot and this didn't appeal to anyone. By the time I realized that I was wrong it was too late. Even after I corrected myself and changed my behaviour to be more friendly, they said that I'm faking it. Even when I changed for good, they blamed me. And in fact when in the fourth week when they came up to me to tell me that they've voted me out, they all agreed that they are evicting me without any cause. They said, 'hum ne aap ko bali ka bakra bana diya hain (we have made you a scapegoat)". At that time I just burst out crying. I thought they know they don't have a reason and yet they're throwing me out. On top of it all, they are telling it on my face that they've made me a scapegoat!

Why do you think the audience didn't support you?
See it was never revealed who got maximum number of votes from the audience. When I asked Colors team about audience votes they didn't say much but assured me that if it wouldn't have been for the inmates' decision I still would've been in the house.

Do you think your association with Kamal Khan had anything to do with your early oust?
I think he was the main reason. He used to crack jokes on others and I used to laugh at them. This led everyone to feel that even I make up bad stories about others whereas I did not. But the way Kamal used to make jokes about them I couldn't help but laugh at it. However, there came a point where he started giving TRP's more importance than humanity. He used to audaciously say- I'm here to promote me, my film , Sherlyn. But the way he went about it eventually turned unethical. The moment he threw the bottle on Rohit I knew that this person is not trustworthy. The next time a bottle could come flying at me.

Kamal said he can sacrifice anything for Sherlyn.
(laughs) Good joke.

He also offered you a role in his film…
(smiles and shakes her head) Common, he offered a role to everyone in his film. He even offered Mr. Bachchan! Can you believe that?

So will you work with him?
Yes, sure. When I want to retire, I'll definitely work with Kamal (laughs).

What do you have to say regarding the whole concept of Big Boss?
It's a very great centre for character development. It's something which a person with a lot of patience can win. I got to identify my weak spots… that I'm low on tolerance and that I let the resentment filled inside of me get the best of me. And this should not have happened. I let my dysfunctional family shape up the way I socialize. Now I realize I've got let all that go and be friendly with everyone.

Do you think career wise you made a good move?
Yes, because here audiences got to see my true colours. They've seen the loud and glamorous Sherlyn. They've seen Sherlyn as someone who likes to do 'angpradarshan'(exhibit her body). Through Big Boss they saw that I have a shy side of me. That I'm soft, I'm quite. I think I connected to the audience on a personal level.

Has your motive for entering Big Boss been fulfilled?
No, my motive hasn't been fulfilled because I wanted to stay till the end.

Why did you assign Vindoo the task?
Yes, I wanted to say his reaction surprised me the most. I never thought he would take so much offence over me assigning him the task. I thought if I'll ask Rohit, it would sadden me because Rohit is so slim and fragile he couldn't have handled it well. Vindoo is so strong with such a muscular body; he was the apt person to carry out the task. For a few seconds I was stunned … I couldn't comprehend the flow of expletives coming out of his mouth. It was only after a few minutes that I realized that he is very much upset with me. And that he has a lot of problem with what I asked him to do.

Who do you hate in Big Boss house?
After what happened, Vindoo.

Since you say, in real life you are a calm and shy person, will we be seeing you in deglamorized roles on-screen too?
No, not yet. I'm just not ready for experimental cinema.

So what's next on the agenda for you?
I'm planning to approach Adita Chopra for Afghan and Karan Johar. Let's hope some good things work out.

Who do you think will win Big Boss Season 3?
I can't just name one person. many are capable…Raju, Shamita, Poonamji…and a few others.
